Van Gogh Alive Malaysia by Mashable SEA

You’ve seen it, I’ve seen it - For the longest time, the immersive experience made so synonymous with the encounter of watching an Instagram mutual of yours spend a vacation somewhere European and their sightseeing sprawl out, is now coming to Malaysia this month.

Australian-based Grande Experiences, with a hallmark in cultural multi-sensory art experiences is finally landing their ‘Van Gogh Alive’ exhibit in an area closer to most Mashable SEA readers.

The exhibit frames the work of the renowned artist ‘during the period 1990 to 1890’ a little different than the expectancy of simply framing his art. In a more multi-sensory display, exhibit goers will be able to fully experience in bigger scale the technology of sitting in his work, by navigating through large projections that travel through expansive screens, columns, and even the floor of the space in ‘hyper-fine detail’ in a 20,000 square foot landscape.

This intimate gallery of Van Gogh’s works are meshed to a digital surround sound, allowing the interaction between his works to emulate the inspirations and sceneries behind them. The exhibition will kick off its run with the public on December 17, 2022, until March 16, 2023 at Pavillion, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur. Tickets are priced at RM75, with an early bird discount of RM46 spanning until December 5, 2022.
